Sandra Bullock helps fainting extra on New Orleans film set
Sandra Bullock got the chance to play a real-life superhero on her latest movie set.
The Oscar-winning "The Blind Side" and "Gravity" actress recently came to the aid of an extra who collapsed in between takes while shooting this past weekend in New Orleans.
TMZ was the first to report the incident and captured images of Bullock on set as she stood over the body of the fainted extra. Bullock provided her ill colleague with water as they waited for paramedics to arrive.
Co-star Billy Bob Thornton was also spotted nearby during the incident, although he reportedly stood some distance away from Bullock and the extra.
The film shoot requires the cast to wear heavy winter coats, which has become an issue as temperatures in the Big Easy have recently reached the high 80s. It has been speculated that the extra had suffered from heatstroke because of the high temperatures.
No update on her condition has been given, although cast and crew returned to the set to resume filming on Tuesday.
Bullock and the rest of the team have been shooting the latest feature from David Gordon Green, "Our Brand Is Crisis," based on the documentary of the same name about U.S. political campaign strategies being employed in South America.
