Russian Roulette Murder: Del. Man Killed After Refusing Turn in Deadly Game, Say Cops
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS/AP) Police in Delaware say two men have been charged with murder in the shooting death of another man who refused to continue playing a game of Russian roulette.
Wilmington Police said Wednesday that 31-year-old Antonio Vieyra was charged with second-degree murder, and 28-year-old Cecilio Mendez-Ballesteros was charged with first-degree murder.
Both men also were charged with possession of a deadly weapon during a felony.
Master Sgt. Steven Barnes says the men had been drinking with others at a house on West Third Street over the weekend when they and 30-year-old Juan Tomas Chaves Robles began playing Russian roulette.
Police say when Robles refused to continue playing, Mendez-Ballesteros allegedly shot Robles in the head.
Barnes says officers found Robles dead of a gunshot wound to the head about 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
