Russell Armstrong, husband of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Taylor Armstrong, found dead
(CBS/AP) LOS ANGELES - Russell Armstrong, the estranged husband of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Taylor Armstrong, was found dead in his Los Angeles home Monday.
Los Angeles County coroner's spokesman Ed Winter says the 47-year-old was pronounced dead at 8:16 p.m. in a home on Mulholland Drive.
Death was caused by hanging and Winter says a suicide note hasn't been found.
Russell Armstrong was an investment banker and venture capitalist.
His publicist, Rebekah Iliff, says he's the founding managing director of Crescent Financial Partners. She also confirms Armstrong and his wife were in the midst of a divorce.
Taylor Armstrong filed for divorce last month, People magazine reports, citing physical and verbal abuse. The couple's relationship troubles were documented on the first season of the Bravo reality series.
The couple has a 5-year-old daughter, Kennedy.
According to TMZ, who first reported the story, Taylor Armstrong was notified of her husband's death on Monday night.
