Rufus Wainwright gets married

(CBS News) Rufus Wainwright wed his longtime partner Jorn Weisbrodt on Thursday in Montauk, N.Y.

According to People, the 39-year-old singer-songwriter exchanged vows with Weisbrodt, an artistic director, in a ceremony in front of 250 guests.

Celebrity attendees included Alan Cumming, Julianne Moore, Yoko Oko, Sean Lennon, Lou Reed, Paul Simon, Carrie Fisher, Mark Ronson and Natasha Lyonne, among others. Wainwright's sister Martha Wainwright performed.

The couple got engaged in 2010. People reports they have an 18-month-old daughter "in a parenting partnership with Leonard Cohen's daughter, Lorca Cohen."

The son of Loudon Wainwright III, meanwhile, will be on tour from now until early 2013 behind his new album "Out of the Game."
