Royals and stars dazzle in designer duds on the BAFTA red carpet
(CBS) Royalty, Hollywood and fashion collided on Saturday night at the BAFTA Brits to Watch gala in Los Angeles.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine were in attendance at the black-tie affair, along with a host of celebrities from both sides of the Atlantic, all dressed by some of fashion's biggest names.

The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in a flowing lilac gown from Alexander McQueen and earrings borrowed from Queen Elizabeth II. Her husband joined her on the red carpet in a classic black tuxedo.
Here's a look at what some of the other high-profile guests wore:
-Jennifer Lopez arrived in a deep green gown with cutouts from Emilio Pucci.
-Nicole Kidman wore a light blue, beaded dress with a draped back from Elie Saab and carried a Ferragamo silver satin evening clutch with crystal closure.
-Jennifer Garner wore two of the night's biggest trends (an asymmetrical neckline and shades of blue), donning a navy satin sheath gown.
-Actress Rita Wilson also arrived in blue, donning a shimmery, cap-sleeved gown.
-Elizabeth Banks chose a white Versace gown with a high slit and gold buttons.
- Kristin Chenoweth selected a black and gold strapless gown by BCBG by Max Azria.
-Blake Lively walked the red carpet in a light blue embroidered gown by Marchesa, paired with nude heels.
-Zooey Deschanel chose a tea-length, metallic dress by Oscar de la Renta.
-"So You Think You Can Dance" host Cat Deely picked a blue Dior gown with lace details.
-Mary Louise Parker wore a red mermaid gown from Dolce & Gabbana with a large flower at the waist.
-Leslie Mann chose a blush-hued, high-necked gown from L'Wren Scott.
