(CBS) Roseanne Barr will return to the small screen in a new sitcom called "Downwardly Mobile." The pilot, which has been picked up by NBC, finds Barr working both on-camera and behind-the-scenes.

She'll star as the operator of a mobile home park and surrogate mother to the financially-strapped people who live there, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Barr, 59, will also write and produce the multi-camera comedy.

The last time we saw Barr on the small screen she was starring in her own Lifetime reality TV show, "Roseanne's Nuts." Her long-running TV series, "Roseanne," aired from 1988-1997.
