Ron Livingston joins "Boardwalk Empire" season 4 cast
Ron Livingston is making the trip to "Boardwalk Empire."
The 46-year-old actor has signed on as a series regular for the upcoming fourth season of the Emmy-winning HBO drama, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The star of films such as "Office Space" and the HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers," Livingston is expected to play a wealthy out-of-towner who serves as a possible love interest for Atlantic City brothel owner Gillian Darmody, played by Gretchen Mol.
Gillian's fate was initially left unclear in the third season finale when she was purposely injected with a heroin overdose, but it looks like she's somehow pulled through for another season.
Series creator and executive producer Terrence Winter revealed that season four will pick up in 1924, with Steve Buscemi's Nucky Thompson back on top of the Atlantic City gangster scene while Al Capone (Stephen Graham) comes into his own in Chicago.
The fourth season of "Boardwalk Empire" will debut on HBO in the fall of 2013.
