(CBS News) First the good news: Colorado Rockies reliever Josh Outman found out that he officially made the team on Friday.

Now the bad news: The left-hander will start the season on the disabled list because of an oblique injury. But he didn't hurt himself pitching or lifting weights. No, it was a vomit-induced injury that occurred while Outman suffered through a bout of food poisoning

"The food poisoning, there was a lot of vomiting and I really believe he strained his oblique," Manager Jim Tracy said. "He's been much better over the last couple of days but he hasn't been able to throw. We haven't been able to get him to the mound."

Outman's brother Zach identified the culprit on Twitter:

Denny's. No wonder. A Grand Slam generally doesn't sit well with major league pitchers.
