Robert Pattinson steps out with questionable new haircut

Gather around, everyone, because we need to talk about what's happening with Robert Pattinson's hair.

On Thursday, the 28-year-old "Twilight" actor stepped out at the 7th annual GO GO Gala in Beverly Hills, California, and while nothing looks amiss from the front, the back of his head had people scratching theirs.

You're not seeing things -- it's shaved straight across in the back, save for a very confusing rectangle smack in the middle of the otherwise bare underside of his head.

Perhaps not surprisingly, there were a lot of feelings to be had about it.

It's unclear what prompted the new look -- whether it's for a movie role, just for fun, or who knows what else -- but whatever it is, we are certainly curious about it.
