Ricki Lake hurt rehearsing for "Dancing with the Stars"

LOS ANGELES - (CBS) The new season hasn't even started yet and already there's been an injury on "Dancing with the Stars."

Talk-show host Ricki Lake has tweeted about a cut and bruise on her shin that she suffered Thursday while rehearsing with partner Derek Hough.

"Look, my first injury. Don't ask how it happened," she wrote, posting a picture of a bruise on her shin.

According to a report in People magazine, an ambulance was called to the scene, but Lake did not need hospitalization.

Injuries are not uncommon on the reality show but usually they start after the competition begins.

The ABC hit show starts a new season Sept. 19. Contestants include Chaz Bono, Kristin Cavalleri, David Arquette and Rob Kardashian.
