CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Police say a 19-year-old man has been charged with murder after they found two men and one woman dead inside a north Charlotte home on Tuesday, reports the Charlotte Observer.

According to the newspaper, Emmanuel Jesus Rangel, 19, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Jonathan Cosme Alvarado, 23, Jusmar Isiah Gonzaga-Garcia, 21, and Mirjana Puhar, 19.

The Observer had previously profiled Puhar, reporting that she came to the United States from Serbia as a child, and appeared in the 21st cycle of America's Next Top Model last year. A press release about that season names a Mirjana Puhar from Charlotte among the finalists, but a spokeswoman for the CW network, which carries the show, could not be immediately reached for comment by the Associated Press.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers responded to a call for service around 5:21 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a report from a source that three people were dead inside a home, reports CBS affiliate WBTV.

When officers got to the scene, they found the bodies of two males and one female, who they say had been shot, according to WBTV. Investigators did not say if they all lived at the home but according to the Observer, police say that the victims knew each other and that the shooting may have been drug-related.

The Observer reports that Rangel has also been charged with the murder of Rosool Jaleel Harrell, 22, who was found shot dead in a car behind an area motel on Sunday. Another man was also injured in that shooting.

In addition to Rangel, the paper reports that two more people - Edward Sanchez, 19, and Emily Ann Isaacs, 18 - are charged in relation to the motel shooting. Sanchez and Isaacs are reportedly in Texas awaiting extradition.
