Report: Vermont search for missing Conn. woman

BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Vermont State Police are searching for a Connecticut woman who has reportedly been missing for a week.

According to the Burlington Free Press, police say Denise L. Hart was last seen leaving a friend's house in Sudbury, a town in Rutland County, on Jan. 25. Police told reporters that Har, 24, t stays in constant contact with family while visiting.

Hart also reportedly has connections to Addison County, Vt., as well as Hartford, Conn. She is also known to use the nicknames "Chookie" and "Tiffany."

Police describe Hart as a woman 5 feet, 1 inch tall, with brown eyes ,and weighing 115 lbs. According to a flier on the Vermont Missing Persons Facebook page, Hart has several tattoos.

Police were alerted Saturday afternoon after she had not been seen for about a week, reported the paper.

Officials are urging those who might have any idea about Hart's whereabouts, to contact Vermont State Police -- Rutland at 802-773-9101.
