Report: Two shot dead at Spokane cancer treatment center
SPOKANE, Wash. - Two people have been fatally shot at a cancer treatment center in Washington state, police told CBS affiliate KREM.
Authorities said an employee at Rockwood Cancer Treatment Center near Deaconess Hospital in downtown Spokane, Wash., called 911 around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to report the shooting.
Spokane police said a man and a woman were killed and that the shooting appeared to be related to domestic violence. Early reports indicated the man shot the woman and then himself, authorities told the station.
Witnesses said they heard between four and six shots fired.
Police had previously said that around 10:15 a.m. a suspect was in custody, reports KREM.
