Report: Former Brooklyn boxer sought in attack on girlfriend

NEW YORK --Police are searching for a man who allegedly beat his live-in girlfriend inside their Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn home,sources tell CBS New York.

Police say a 38-year-old woman was hit in the head by a man after a quarrel early Tuesday morning. The suspect fled, and the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical, but stable condition, police told the station.

Police were searching Tuesday night for Josh Luteran, 30. Sources say the suspect is a former semi-professional boxer, and is accused of hitting his live-in girlfriend with his fist, according to the station.

Luteran is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and was last seen wearing a black skull cap, jacket and black sweatpants, according to CBS New York.
