Rep. John Lewis grooves to Pharrell’s “Happy”
"Happy" probably isn't a word most Americans would associate with Capitol Hill these days. But it looks like Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., wants to change that.
In two separate videos posted on Facebook by Rachelle O'Neil - reportedly a staffer of the veteran congressman - the 74-year-old Lewis is shown getting his groove on to Pharrell Williams' hit song, "Happy."
"This is my song!" Lewis says while swaying his hips. O'Neil posted that the office was holding a "Long belated B-Day celebration" for the boss, whose birthday was Feb. 21.
After the dance break, the congressman had this message for viewers: "Be happy, everybody. Happy. That's what the government is supposed to do: Bring happy - happiness to everybody. Happy."
