Reese Witherspoon says she's ready for "Legally Blonde 3"
"Legally Blonde" fans, watch out: Elle Woods may be coming back.
Reese Witherspoon, star of "Legally Blonde" and "Legally Blonde 2," told Rachel Zoe on an episode of "Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe," that she thinks it's time to check up on America's blondest lawyer, Elle Woods.
When a fan asked Witherspoon if there would ever be a "Legally Blonde 3," the actress answered, "I think we're ready to see Elle and see what she's up to lately."
She said that she'd like to see Elle as a Supreme Court justice or president in the next film, saying that Hillary Clinton's presidential run makes it a timely topic.
"I actually think it's kind of great right now because we're talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women," said the actress.
"Don't tease me!" admonished Rachel Zoe.
Witherspoon admitted that she does not actually know if MGM would be interested in "Legally Blonde 3," but we wouldn't be surprised if MGM executives want to see what Elle Woods is up to, too.
