"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Taylor Armstrong speaks out on estranged husband's suicide

(CBS) Taylor Armstrong, one of the stars of Bravos' "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," has spoken out about the news of the apparent suicide of her estranged husband, Russell Armstrong.

"Taylor Armstrong is devastated by the tragic events that have unfolded," her rep says in a statement obtained by People. "She requests privacy at this time so that she may comfort her young daughter."

On Tuesday, the LAPD confirmed that Russell, 47, was found deadin a home on Mulholland Drive the night before. The cause of death was from hanging.

The couple, who were in a midst of a divorce, have a 5-year-old daughter together.

Armstrong also says in the statement that her "thoughts and prayers" are with Russell's 11- and 13-year-old sons from previous relationships.
