Rapper Young Jeezy arrested second time this month

ATLANTA - Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy was arrested Tuesday for the second time in less than two weeks.

The rapper, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, is charged with obstruction of law enforcement for allegedly cursing at officers in Alpharetta, Ga. and refusing to provide his name, police say, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The 36-year-old was reportedly booked into the North Fulton Alpharetta Annex Jail and was released late Tuesday after posting $1,000 bond.

The paper reports officers were first dispatched to a townhouse in Alpharetta because of a security alarm, but when they arrived no one came to the door. Jenkins was then observed walking out of the back door of the townhouse and when officers approached him, he told them it was his girlfriend’s home.

Jenkins reportedly refused to show his identification or give his name and cursed at officers. He was subsequently arrested.

The rapper was also arrested earlier this month on Jan. 3 after surrendering to battery, false imprisonment and terroristic threats charges for an alleged fight with his son in 2012.
