Rapper "Magic Mike" gets 2 years for drug deal phone call

(CBS/AP) Miami rapper Mike "Magic Mike" Yuen has been sentenced to prison for two years and fined $12,500 for a telephone call that discussed a marijuana deal with someone in Biloxi, Miss., three years ago.

The 32-year-old Yuen was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Gulfport, Miss., on a guilty plea to using a communication facility in causing or facilitating the commission of a felony in violation of federal drug laws.

The Sun Herald reports Yuen faced up to four years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Yuen is a managing member of Magic City Records in Miami, where his music is especially popular in the Latin community.
