Rapper Flavor Flav arrested in Las Vegas on misdemeanor warrants
(CBS/KGAN/AP) LAS VEGAS - Police in Las Vegas say rapper and reality TV show star Flavor Flav was arrested over the weekend on four outstanding misdemeanor warrants for various driving offenses.
The arrest took place Friday night after a traffic stop east of the Vegas strip.
According to CBS affiliate KGAN, police say the rapper had two outstanding arrest warrants for driving without a license, one for driving without insurance and one related to a parking citation.
Flav has since been released, but it's unclear when he is due back in court.
Before becoming a reality TV star, Flavor Flav, who's real name is William Jonathan Drayton, was a member of the rap group Public Enemy.
It's the latest in a series of bad breaks for the celebrity. According to KGAN, last week his fried-chicken restaurant in Clinton, Iowa was shut down by health inspectors.
