Former "Lost" star and "Hawaii Five-O" hunk, Daniel Dae Kim, wrote on his Facebook page: "Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. My family and I have moved to high ground. Now we wait..."
He later added, "Back at work, bleary eyed & heartsick, but very grateful. As far as I know, everyone is safe. Thx 2 all of you 4 your kind thoughts. Truly."
The cast and crew of the "Twilight" series, which includes Kristen Stewart , Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson, are currently filming "Breaking" Dawn in Vancouver, and also had to evacuate. A tsunami warning was issued for the area, with experts fearing waves could reach between three and six feet, MSN reports.
"They're evacuating us 4 a tsunami warning. If this ... is my last my tweet. I love you. The end. Hugz," Tinsel Korey, who plays Emily in the films, tweeted Friday morning.
The 30-year-old star followed up a few minutes later, tweeting, "If this is the moment. Then I've lived a good life. And I'm thankful 4 everything I've been given."
Yoko Ono tweeted to her "dear people of Japan," recalling a recent visit to Tokyo and the time she visited the city with her late husband, Jon Lennon and their son Sean, who all experienced an earthquake from a hotel room.
"The earthquake John, Sean and I experienced was not at all like the one you just experienced. But still my body is now shaking tonight from the memory of it..." she tweeted. "So I feel deeply for you for having experienced the earthquake that was the severest in the history of Japan. It must have been so, so horrible. I extend my sympathy and love to each one of you. I'm very sorry that you had to go through what you went through. My heart is with you all the way."
