Sony Computer Entertainment Europe chief operating officer Jim Ryan shed light on the PS Vita in the Gamescom 2011 trade show. Ryan emphasized the multi-touch features, OLED screen, analog sticks, six-axis motion sensing and front and rear cameras.
While the PS Vita may not sound like a game-changer, it definitely seems impressive.
A Wi-Fi version of the PS Vita will cost $249, while the AT&T 3G version will sell for $299 (plus data plan). The hand-held gaming device will also integrate Facebook, Skype, Twitter and Foursquare. It's slated to launch in early 2012.
The Tokyo Game Show runs from September 15 to 18 in Tokyo, Japan.
