Up for auction, Princess Diana letters offer intimate look
Private letters written by the late Princess Diana are set to be auctioned today in England. The letters written to Cyril Dickman, a Buckingham Palace steward who was Diana’s close friend, offer an intimate look at the royal family’s life between 1984 and 1993.
In one handwritten note, soon after the birth of Prince Harry, Diana talks about Prince William’s fascination with his new sibling. She wrote, “William adores his little brother and spends the entire time swamping Harry with an endless supply of hugs and kisses.”
In a 1992 letter, Diana wrote: “The boys are well and enjoying boarding school a lot, although Harry is constantly in trouble!”
The collection of royal memorabilia reportedly has a value of around $18,000.
