The song, called "Sing," was written by Take That singer/"The X Factor" U.K. judge Gary Barlow and "Phantom of the Opera" composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Barlow traveled to various Commonwealth countries to complete the track, and got Prince Harry to contribute while he was visiting Jamaica earlier this year.
"He's fun and relaxed and he's a really nice kid. We caught him on his last day in Jamaica," Barlow told the U.K.'s Press Association. "We turned up and I asked him would he play on the record and he said 'I don't sing.' But I said 'no, no - I don't want you to sing, I want you to play the tambourine.' And so he said 'it'll cost you.'"
"Then we met [Harry] later on that night and he did the tambourine hit and we spun it into the track," Barlow added. "He probably hasn't got a clue what he's part of just yet."
"Sing" features 210 artists from across the Commonwealth, according to a release on Webber's website, including the African Children's Choir and New Zealand classical singer Hayley Westenra.
The song will be part of a commemorative jubilee album by Gary Barlow & The Commonwealth Band, to be released on May 28. Some of the proceeds from "Sing" will raise funds for The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust.
"Sing" will be performed at the Diamond Jubilee concert at London's Buckingham Palace on June 4.
