Prince Carl Philip of Sweden Is Dating Bikini Model, Newspaper Reports
Sweden's Prince Carl Philip is dating bikini model Sofia Hellqvist, the Swedish Palace has confirmed to the Swedish newspaper Expressen.
The 31-year-old bachelor prince, second in line to the Swedish throne, had a longstanding relationship with public relations executive Emma Pernald but the two broke up earlier this year.
According to reports in European newspapers, Hellqvist , who has posed with writing snakes for some men's magazines, met King King Carl XVI Gustafand Queen Silvia in July at the palace in Oland, Sweden.
The prince, the only son of the king and queen, is considered one of the world's most eligible bachelors and has been at the top of Forbes magazine's' list of hottest royals. He races cars and has studied graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design.
His older sisterCrown Princess Victoria was married to her personal trainer Daniel Westling, now the Duke of Vastergotland, in a $2.6 million June 18 wedding ceremony in Stockholm, billed as the biggest wedding in European since Britain's Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer.
His younger sister, Princess Madeleine, broke off her engagement in April to lawyer Jonas Bergstrom, whom she had been dating since 2002.
