President Obama to appear on "Sunday Morning"

CBS News Senior Business Correspondent Anthony Mason will sit down with President Barack Obama in his home state of Illinois for an interview that is scheduled to broadcast on "CBS Sunday Morning" this Sunday, August 21 at 9:00 a.m. ET.

Mason will speak to Mr. Obama in the Illinois towns of Atkinson and Alpha, where he is visiting as part of his "listening tour" through the heartland of America.

Charles Osgood will anchor "CBS Sunday Morning" from New York, and excerpts from Mason's interview with Mr. Obama will first be broadcast on the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley on Wednesday, August 17 at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Earlier this week, the president embarked on a three-day bus tour, planning to visit Minnesota, Iowa and northwestern Illinois.
