Poll: Donald Trump leads in NH, Marco Rubio climbs to second place
Donald Trump still leads the Republican presidential race just days before the New Hampshire primary and Sen. Marco Rubio has climbed to second place, according to a CNN/WMUR poll released Thursday.
The poll found 29 percent of likely GOP primary voters in the Granite State back Trump, down 1 percentage point since the last poll conducted in late January.
Eighteen percent said they would support Rubio, up 7 percentage points. The Florida senator won third place at the Iowa caucuses. Thirteen percent said they back Sen. Ted Cruz, who won the Iowa caucuses on Monday, 12 percent said they would support Ohio Gov. John Kasich and 10 percent said they would back former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
Only 4 percent of New Hampshire GOP voters said they would support New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, down 4 percentage points since the last poll.
About a third of GOP primary voters said they're still trying to decide whom to support.
The poll surveyed 556 adults in New Hampshire and 209 GOP primary voters between Feb. 2 and 4 with a 6.8 percentage point margin of error.
