Cops: Suspect arrested in shooting near Phila. high school
PHILADELPHIA -- Police say a third suspect has been arrested in a shooting that happened behind a northeastern Philadelphia high school Saturday, according to CBS Philly.
On Tuesday, police arrested 18-year-old Charlie Rolon, according to the station. Two other suspects, 16-year-old Jonathan Rojas and 19-year-old Joshua Sanchez, were reportedly arrested Saturday after the incident.
Police say a 17-year-old, who was hanging out with friends behind Archbishop Ryan High School Saturday night, was shot in the leg. The victim told investigators that two males approached him about buying drugs.
The victim told police that he did not know the men and after exchanging harsh words, the males walked away while on the phone, giving someone on the other end their location, reports CBS Philly.
The 17-year-old told police that a third male came by a few minutes later --- approaching him and allegedly pointing a gun at him. In the fight that followed, police say the three suspects attacked him and one of them fired at the victim.
The victim was then taken to a local hospital in stable condition, according to the station.
After the shooting, the suspects allegedly fled the scene. While surveying the surrounding area, officers reportedly stopped Rojas and Sanchez after police say they fit the description of the attackers.
All three suspects are reportedly charged with criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault and related offenses.
