Police say woman was shot dead by ex-husband in Houston

HOUSTON -- Police have arrested a man in the fatal shooting of his ex-wife in southeast Houston, CBS affiliate KHOU reports.

Lloyd Gipson Carter, 34, has been charged with murder in the shooting of Dominique Tibedeaux, which occurred Monday night at a home in Houston.

Police say Carter and Tibedeaux, his ex-wife, were arguing when Carter shot Tibedeaux and she ran toward her mother's apartment. Tibedeaux was found dead at her mother's door.

The station reports that Carter ran from the scene and was taken into custody without incident.
