Police make arrest in disappearance of Maine woman
(CBS/WABI/AP) AUBURN, Maine - Police have made an arrest in the disappearance of a 22-year-old Maine woman who went missing in July.
Buddy Robinson, 31, has now been charged with the murder of Christina Fesmire, who disappeared July 1.
According to CBS affiliate WABI, authorities say Fesmire advertised her escort services on the internet and Robinson was a neighbor of hers. Both were one-time residents of a two-unit apartment house in Lewiston, in Southern Maine, where police say Fesmire was killed and her body removed.
Police say evidence taken from the building led investigators to believe Fesmire was killed, reports NBC affiliate WCSH.
Police haven't indicated a motive.
Despite the dozens of people and tracking dogs scouring Androscoggin County in search of the missing woman, police have yet to find any sign of her.
More than two dozen members of the Maine Warden Service and Maine State Police - along with 60 volunteers and 18 tracking dogs - searched the woods, fields and swamps in Lewiston, Auburn, Lisbon and Mechanic Falls on Sunday.
Police say this is the largest organized search in Lewiston since 1995, WABI reports.
