Police kill a man who allegedly opened fire on a Hollywood street corner this morning

(CBS) HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Police have killed a man who allegedly opened fire on a Hollywood street corner earlier today. Several people were injured and one was taken to the hospital, reports CBS Los Angeles.

Los Angeles police said they received a call about a man firing shots at about 10:30 a.m.

CBS Los Angeles reports that the fire department is treating multiple victims at the scene for unknown injuries and one person was transported to a local hospital.

Police confirmed to the station that an officer fatally shot the suspect, who has not yet been identified.
