Police hunt for Kentucky teens on alleged crime spree
GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. - Police say they are searching for two Kentucky teens who they say stole a truck and embarked on a multi-state crime spree, reports CBS affiliate WKYT.
Dalton Hayes, 18, and his 13-year-old girlfriend have been missing from Grayson County for nearly two weeks, but authorities say that the truck they allegedly stole was found in Georgia yesterday.
A gun that was in the truck when it was stolen was reportedly still inside.
South Carolina police tell the station that they believe the teens tried to use forged checks at a Walmart there on Wednesday.
CBS affiliate WGCL reports that Hayes ditched the stolen truck Henry County, Ga., and then stole another truck from the same county.
Officers are concerned because there were reportedly two handguns inside the truck stolen from Henry County.
