Police: "Extremely dangerous" N.H. fugitive caught
CONCORD, N.H. -- U.S. Marshals arrested an "extremely dangerous" fugitive in New Hampshire Monday afternoon, reports CBS Boston.
Jason McCoy was wanted on several outstanding warrants, including a probation violation on an original charge of reckless conduct involving a firearm, as well as receiving stolen property.
While on the lam, McCoy allegedly stole a car, a shotgun, and ammunition.
He also allegedly led police on multiple chases.
Marshals say McCoy is a known drug user who was reportedly hallucinating and sleeping with weapons.
The U.S. Marshals Service was flooded with telephone calls and anonymous text tips and emails after they sent out a press release asking for the public's help locating McCoy. The 25-year-old was arrested at a home on Mount Cardigan Road in Alexandria, NH shortly after 1:00 pm.
McCoy allegedly stole a black 2014 Nissan Juke with New Hampshire plates that read "LONWULF." The stolen vehicle and firearm were not recovered at the scene of McCoy's arrest.
