Police capture Baltimore fugitive staying with Colo. football players
BOULDER, Colo. -- Police in Boulder say a man arrested Tuesday for attempted murder in Baltimore was staying with University of Colorado football players.
Police say they took 24-year-old Donte Faison into custody without incident about six hours after a SWAT team set up outside a home about a mile away from the University of Colorado.
The operation shut down the street and police warned residents to stay away from the area. Faison is wanted in connection with a non-fatal shooting on Nov. 15.
The Daily Camera reports that college officials say Faison knew a player on the Colorado football team from childhood and asked to stay at the house, but didn't tell the player he was wanted by law enforcement.
No players were arrested.
