Photograph of Boston police officer delivering milk to family during lockdown goes viral
BOSTON As a manhunt was underway for Boston Marathon bombings suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Watertown-area residents were ordered to stay in their homes.
Tsarnaev was taken into custody Friday night in Watertown, shortly after the stay-in-place order was lifted.
On Saturday, a photograph of a police officer delivering milk to a family with young children went viral on social media, CBS Boston reported.
By Sunday the photograph had over 60,000 "shares" on Facebook.
Boston Police said Sunday that the officer pictured was a Brookline Police Department (BPD) officer.
Boston Police tweeted the photograph saying:
There is no word on who took the photograph and the identity of the officer pictured.
