Photo: Ricky Martin tweets from the "Glee" set

(CBS) It looks like the cast of "Glee" is "Livin' la Vida Loca" - because Ricky Martin is hanging out at William McKinley High School.

The singer, who is making a guest appearance on the show as a Spanish teacher, tweeted a photo from the set on Thursday.

"First day!!," he wrote, sharing a picture of him posting with cast members including Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Matthew Morrison, Naya Rivera and Mark Salling.

Michele tweeted a picture of her own with Martin, adding, "He's seriously the sweetest and such a great fit for our show!"

This isn't the first time Michele and Martin have worked together. She told her Twitter followers, "I've known Ricky since I'm 8 years old! He was in Les Mis on Broadway with me in 1996! Crazy huh?!"

Martin's guest appearance was first announced in November.
