Pete Doherty jailed for 6 months
(CBS/AP) LONDON - Pete Doherty has been jailed - again - this time for 6 months after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine.
The troubled British rocker was sentenced by an east London court.
He had been arrested by police investigating the death of heiress Robin Whitehead, who died from a suspected drug overdose last year.
The Babyshambles frontman had been due to perform a concert in Scotland Friday evening. Doherty has been arrested numerous times and spent time in jail before.
In 2008, Doherty's manager told The Daily Mail, "The only time I can be sure he's not doing heroin or crack is when he's in rehab or prison or asleep."
In 2009, Doherty, who once dated supermodel model Kate Moss, was arrested and charged with drunk driving and possession of heroin in Gloucester, England. His arrests date back to at least 2003.
