People's Choice Red Carpet Hits and Misses
Many of us watch award shows as much to gaze at what the stars are wearing on the red carpet as to see who wins.
The People's Choice Awards Tuesday night were no exception.
Katrina Szish, contributing editor of Us Weekly magazine, took it all in and didn't hesitate to give out her opinions on what she saw, on The Early Show.
She filled in co-anchor Julie Chen Wednesday on the fashion winner and losers:
BIG TREND: SHORTER DRESSES: HALLE BERRY
Little dresses were a big trend, and Berry topped it off with the shortest dress of them all. Of course, short means sexy. Celebrities such as Vanessa Williams and Emily Procter had short dresses, But Berry's Gucci dress was the shortest of them all. There have been rumors circulating that she could be pregnant, but she didn't look it. Her long-sleeved dress really balanced out her look, and she did her own makeup! She always looks amazing!
LOOKING GREAT: JENNIFER ANISTON
Szish liked the simplicity of her look, and the low-scoop neckline. Szish thought the length was appropriate, and liked the tousled hair! This was Aniston's first appearance in a long time. In the past, she has worn too much black, and it was really nice to see her in something lighter. She balanced her flirty, girly dress with minimal makeup and jewelry. It didn't look she was trying so hard. She looked confident and very much like herself.
BEST DRESSED: EVA LONGORIA
In the past, she has had too many extensions or too much going on with the dress for Szish's taste. This dress was simple in front and simple in back; her hair looked shiny. She was simple elegance, and finally got it right. She is always sexy but tends to overuse her accessories. She looked like a star, as opposed to a rising star.
NOT SO HOT: FELICITY HUFFMAN

She wears really plunging necklines that, Szish feels, aren't flattering on her chest. The skirt should have been just to the knee, or full-length. It made her look matronly and unfashionable. She can be so sleek and sophisticated, but this dress was too girly for her.
ONE-FOR-THREE: QUEEN LATIFAH
Szish only liked one of the three dresses she wore. Latifah tends to look too "prom-dressy." She looks more mother of the bride, and it doesn't go with her personality. The dresses seem too uptight for her. The red dress was the only one Szish liked. Szish thought the blue looked like a 1960s dress or a bad bridesmaid dress.
WORST DRESSED: CAMERON DIAZ
Szish thought it looked like she got caught in a spider web. She has such a great body, Szish says, and she can normally pull things off, but not this one. She needed powder. She looked disheveled. Her overall look was messy. Maybe she was trying to put on a happy face (there have been rumors that she and Justin Timberlake have called it quits).
