People's Choice Awards 2013: What was the best performance?
The 2013 People's Choice Awards was heavy with honors on Wednesday night, but a few performances were peppered throughout the two-hour special on CBS.
Alicia Keys kicked off the ceremony at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, sitting at the piano, dressed in red, white and black, to perform her hit single "Girl on Fire." She then left the piano behind for a performance of the upbeat "New Day" where she grooved along with a batch of dancers.
Singer Jason Aldean brought a little country flair to the show with a rocking version of My Kinda Party," a track off his 2010 album of the same name.
Christina Aguilera, sporting a white blazer and black pants, brought the energy-level down a notch but the emotional-level up with the soulful ballad "Blank Page" from her new "Lotus" album.
