Paul McCartney unveils "New" single, album details
At 71 years old, Paul McCartney is keeping things fresh. And by fresh, we mean "new."
The former Beatle unveiled a new single this week called "New," which will appear on an upcoming album of the same name, due out Oct. 15. The lead single was produced by Mark Ronson, known for his work with Amy Winehouse. Speaking about the song, McCartney said, "We can do what we want, we can live as we choose." In addition to Ronson, McCartney also teamed up with several other new collaborators.
The 12-track set marks McCartney's first album of original tracks since 2007's "Memory Almost Full." Last year, he released "Kisses on the Bottom," which featured mostly cover songs. More details about the upcoming album will be released in the coming weeks.
McCartney spent much of this year on tour.
