Parents: Money Talk with Teens is As Stressful as Buying a Car, Survey Finds
NEW YORK (CBS) Would you rather deal with the stress of buying a car or talk to your teen about money?
According to a new survey by American Express, approximately one in three parents say that talking to their teens about an allowance is comparable or more difficult than the stressful experience of negotiating the purchase of a car.
For teens, talking about money isn't a picnic, either. Teens surveyed indicated that talking with their parents about money is not easy, with nearly half saying that asking their parents for money is a "hassle."
