(CBS) Music fans got another glimpse of what's to come on Jay-Z and Kanye West's upcoming album "Watch the Throne" on Wednesday, when the duo released a new single.

The track, called "Otis," features a sample of the late Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness."

Rolling Stone declared that Jay-Z and West "proved again that they're one of rap's all-time great tag teams - up there with Run-DMC, OutKast and EPMD."

New York Magazine says that "even though the two aren't as concerned with sounding clever as they are with sounding like their lives are amazing, both get off their fair share of good shots."

The Los Angeles Times says the track has "grainy snare snaps, greasy organ and a stomping floor-tom pulse," while MTV quips that if this single is any indication of what's to come on the album, "Jay-Z and Kanye West won't be relinquishing the rap throne any time soon."

You can listen to the track here.

"Otis" follows the previously-released track "H.A.M."

"Watch the Throne" will be released on Aug. 2.
