North Carolina voters on debate, candidates and the issues
The outcome of the presidential election, in most states, is not in doubt; Some are reliably Democratic or Republican. There are about a dozen states that could go for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, and will decide the presidency.
North Carolina is one of the most competitive battleground states in the campaign. President Obama carried it in 2008, and Gov. Mott Romney won there in 2012.
CBS Politics rates it a tossup.
CBS News correspondent Manuel Bojorquez spoke with a panel of North Carolina voters. Some support Donald Trump, some support Hillary Clinton and others are undecided.
They discussed their views on the candidates, the issues and what they want to hear in Monday night’s debate. Watch highlights of the conversation above.
