Nokia announces Lumia 920 Windows smartphone
(CBS News) Nokia announced Wednesday the launch of its flagship smartphone, the Lumia 920.

The Nokia Lumia 920 features a 4.5-inch display, 1.5 gigahertz Snapdragon processor, an 8.7 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, wireless charging and an array of vibrant colors.
But it's not just about the hardware. The Lumia 920 runs Microsoft's highly-anticipated mobile operating system Windows Phone 8.
Microsoft vice president Joe Belfiore took the stage Wednesday in New York City to show off the new features of Windows Phone 8. The new operating system features SkyDrive integration, sharing on Twitter and Facebook via NFC tap-and-share, ability to take screenshots,
Other features include Bing Vision, which allows the phone to "recognize" images that you take; a Photosynth app, which allows you to compose 360 degree panoramic photos; and FX Suite, which allows you to add filters to photos.
Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer also took the stage, saying that about 400 million devices will run Windows software.
Of the Lumia 920, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop says it's the "first working Windows Phone 8 product."
There is no hard date on when the Lumia 920 will be available, but it should come out sometime during the fourth quarter.
