Nicki Minaj to make film debut in "The Other Woman"
Nicki Minaj is reportedly set to make her live-action film debut.
The rapper and "American Idol" judge is in final negotiations to join cast of the revenge comedy "The Other Woman," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The cast already includes Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Kate Upton.
Nick Cassavetes is directing the film, which is about a woman (Diaz) who, after finding out she is the "other woman" in an affair, teams up with the cheating man's wife (Mann) to get revenge. Coster-Waldau plays the husband, and Upton plays another mistress who joins the women in their revenge plan.
THR reports that Minaj will play Diaz's assistant -- an "opinionated" woman on her third marriage -- at a law firm.
Minaj previously voiced one of the characters in the animated film "Ice Age: Continental Drift."
"The Other Woman" will begin shooting in New York in late spring/early summer.
