News anchor proposes live on-air to his girlfriend
(CBS News) Working in news can be a pretty grueling business with long hours, intense workloads and a lot of stress. But it does come with the perk of having access to a large audience if you ever want to make a grand gesture. Like propose marriage to your long-term girlfriend...
Can we all collectively say "awwww" together? Mark Rivera, Anchors and Features reporter for WAND-TV in Champaign/Decatur/Springfield, IL, recently decided to use his on-air opportunity to propose to his girlfriend, Alissa Groeninger, also a journalist for the State Journal-Register, while he was live on air. And did I say girlfriend? I meant fiancee, as you can all see now from the cute clip. All of us here at The Feed would like to wish Mark and Alissa all the best on their upcoming nuptials and for providing us and the world with a very sweet and romantic moment!
