Police search for man who shoved feces down woman's shorts
NEW YORK -- Investigators say video shows a man sneaking up behind a woman in New York City, grabbing her, and shoving a bag of feces down her pants, reports CBS New York.
The man has now been linked to a second similar attack, the station reports.
The footage was captured by surveillance video Monday evening in Manhattan's Upper East Side neighborhood. The 27-year-old woman told police she does not know the man.
The woman was talking on her cell phone before the incident and said she didn't notice the suspect approach. After the attack, he can be seen pulling off rubber gloves and throwing them aside as he leaves the scene.
It's unknown if the suspect said anything during the incident. Police sources tell CBS New York that the suspect is believed to be emotionally disturbed and may have targeted the woman at random.
Police say the same suspect is believed to have thrown excrement at another person in the area on Monday evening.
