New "Walking Dead" mid-season trailer is here
If you thought the mid-season finale of "The Walking Dead" was insane, then you're in for one hell of a ride this February!
AMC has just released a brand-new trailer for the undead drama's mid-season premiere, and it's guaranteed to give you goosebumps.
"I thought living behind these walls was possible, but I was wrong," a defeated Rick Grimes whispers at the beginning of the heart-pounding trailer above.
Fans are then treated to quick glimpses of Carl and Co. escaping their former home, fighting off walkers, and the ominous threat of super nemesis Negan, who will be played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
But the most gut-wrenching part of the 30 second trailer? That would definitely be watching Maggie scream bloody murder while Glenn's voice warns, "People you love, they're still part of you even after you're gone."
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Walking Dead comic books, one of the main reasons why Negan is such a horrifying villain is because he -- SPOILER ALERT! -- brutally murdered Glenn by bashing his skull with barbed wire-covered bat.
Could this be why Maggie looks so horrified and Glenn is giving us a foreshadowing of death? We're currently praying to the TV Gods that this isn't the case.
"The Walking Dead"returns Sunday, February 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
