Neil Young writing a memoir
(CBS) Keith Richards. Pete Townshend. Bob Dylan. And now Neil Young.
The hard rocking guitarist, soft singing harmonizer and songwriter is getting into the memoir game. According to the New York Times, Young's book will come out in the Fall of 2012.
Called "Waging Heavy Peace," the Times reports Young has written some parts of the book already. Among the subjects Young covers are growing up, life and music.
Young has one No. 1 hit, "Heart of Gold," which came out in 1972 on the album "Harvest." He tours frequently, solo and with various bands, including Crazy Horse, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and recently, a re-formed Buffalo Springfield.
