N.C. Man Allegedly Rapes Woman and Carves "Mine" into her Stomach
HICKORY, N.C. (CBS/AP) A North Carolina man has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman and carving the word "mine" into her stomach.
Alan Campbell, a 41-year-old man from Hickory, allegedly tied up the woman, used a box cutter to carve the word "mine" on her stomach, and cut her in the face, throat, chest, stomach and legs, said CBS affiliate WBTV.
Campbell is facing a laundry list of charges. He's charged with first degree rape, first-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a female and two counts of communicating threats.
Campbell's bond is set at $1 million and he is in the Catawba County Jail awaiting his first hearing.
WBTV reports the victim was treated at the local hospital and released.
